Have you ever wondered about buying an Annual Pass for Walt Disney World as a UK resident? Perhaps it’s something you dream about, or perhaps you’re a seasoned Florida tripper giving it some serious consideration.

The first thing all UK residents need to know is that you can buy an Annual Pass for Walt Disney World as a UK resident. But the first thing you need to understand is that there is only one type of Annual Pass that all UK residents can buy and you can only buy it once you are physically in the United States. There are no UK-sold annual passes, and UK Magic Tickets cannot be upgraded.

What Type of Walt Disney World Annual Pass Can UK Residents Buy?

The only type of annual pass that all UK residents can buy is the Incredi-Pass.

Walt Disney World offer four different types of Annual Pass:

  1. Disney Pixie Dust Pass (Florida Residents Only)

  2. Disney Pirate Pass

  3. Disney Sorcerer Pass

  4. Disney Incredi-Pass

The Disney Incredi-Pass is the most expensive tier of Annual Pass, but also offers a lot more visiting flexibility than the other passes, which is important for a UK Annual Pass holder.

If you are a DVC owner direct through Disney you will be able to buy the Sorcerer pass, but for the purpose of this page we will be looking exclusively at the Disney Incredi-Pass, which is the only Disney World Annual Pass option available to all UK residents.

If you’re now wondering how much an annual pass to Disney World is for a UK resident, what’s included, where to buy one and how many trips you would need to take a year for the pass to be worth buying keep reading.

With mandatory sales tax, a Walt Disney World Annual Pass for a UK resident will cost $1,734.88 (£1,275.65) per person, and there is no discounted pass price for children. How much will an annual pass cost your family?

As the only Disney World annual pass option is the highest tier pass, the cost to have one is expensive for most families, especially as there is not a child price. There also isn’t a payment plan that we are aware of for UK visitors, so it is a large amount of money to have to find and pay up front.

How Many Magic Tickets Do You Need To Buy For An Annual Pass To Make Sense?

Option 1: Two Trips For Christmas and Easter: Get The Annual Pass

If you are buying a Magic Ticket over Christmas and Easter, for example, plus you plan on driving to the Parks so will need to pay for car parking, an Annual Pass is the best option.

Here is the example:

Item

Cost

14 Day Magic Tickets for Easter 2026: start date 30th March

£542.01 (with 10% discount)

14 Days Standard Parking

$490 (£360.29)

14 Day Magic Ticket for Christmas 2026: start date 18th December

£737.22

14 Days Standard Parking

$490 (£360.29)

The total for this trip is over £2,000, with tickets totalling £1,279.23, around £100 less than the cost of the Annual Pass. But when you factor in the saving on free standard parking, the Disney Incredi-Pass Annual Pass is the cheaper option. Even if you divide the car parking saving by four, and add a quarter to this price you are still better off buying the Disney Incredi Pass than the two UK Magic Tickets.

Option 2: Quieter times mean 3 Magic Tickets For An Annual Pass

If you plan to buy 3 14-day Magic Tickets over a 12 month period to visit during quieter times, the cost of the Magic Ticket is less. At this point you need to be planning to buy 3 Magic Tickets in a 12 month period, to not have any parking costs during any trip, and to not spend money on Disney food and merchandise.

We include discounts on Magic Tickets in our calculations as they are often available during low and regular season.

14 Day Magic Ticket starts on 1st August 2026

£409.02 (includes 25% discount)

14 Day Magic Ticket starts on 1st November 2026

£630.22

3, 14 Day Magic Tickets on the above dates cost a total of £1,549.69. The Disney Incredi-Pass costs $1,734.88 (£1,275.65). Without any parking costs, or considering the value of savings from food and merchandise purchases, you would be cheaper buying an Incredi-Pass for these trips.

As the examples show, Magic Ticket prices vary according to time of year, so it is important to figure this into your working when deciding whether the Annual Pass is cost-effective or not.

What’s Included With Incredi-Pass?

The Incredi-Pass is Walt Disney World’s most comprehensive annual pass, so you get the best benefits. The Incredi Pass offers:

  • No block-out dates which means you can reserve any day in the year, including Christmas and Easter as long as there is availability

  • You can hold up to 5 park day reservations at once

  • Free standard car parking

  • 20% discount off Disney Parks merchandise

  • 10% off at most dining experiences, some offer a higher discount, including 20% off at Joffreys.

  • Discounts on Disney World Activities such as Water Parks and Drawn To Life.

You can see a full list of discounts at Annual Passholder Discounts | Walt Disney World Resort

Incredi-Pass holders can also collect free magnets in the parks; designs change every quarter. There are also periodic offers on hotels giving you access to cheaper on-site stays too.

What’s Not Included: Memory Maker and Water Parks

Two key benefits offered by the UK Magic Ticket are not included as standard in Disney’s Incredi-Pass Annual Pass:

  • Memory Maker

  • Water Park entry

This is a down-side for many UK visitors, but they can be added to Disney’s Incredi-Pass for an extra cost.

Adding Memory Maker: Cost Increase

Adding Memory Maker to the Disney Incredi-Pass gives you all the same benefits of Memory Maker that you get with the UK Magic Ticket plus you get extra annual passholder Magic Shot opportunities.

Memory Maker costs $109 (£80.15) plus tax for 12 months, so the full cost is $116.08 (£85.35).

Disney’s Incredi Pass costs $1,850.96 (£1,361) for a year if you include Memory Maker in your Annual Pass.

If you go for the Memory Maker add-on, our hack is to only get it on one annual pass, rather than adding it to everyone’s pass as you can download and share the photos from one account. Just make sure you scan that person’s ticket or Magic Band when getting photos.

Adding Water Parks: Increasing Cost

Paying for water park entry on to your Annual Pass package will cost $109 (£80.15) plus tax for 12 months entry to both Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. The full amount to add on including tax is $116.08 (£85.35).

However, you do need to weigh up how many time you want to visit the water parks in a year when travelling over from the UK. If you think you will likely only visit once, it may be worth using your annual pass to get entry for $49 (£36.03) plus tax for a day instead. this works out to $52.18 (£38.37) per person.

Adding Water Parks and Memory Maker: Increasing Cost

If you want, you can add both water park and memory maker options to the cost of your Incredi-Pass. This will increase the cost by $232.16 (£170.71) per person.

The cost of an Incredi-Pass with Memory Maker and Water Parks will cost $1,967.04 (£1,446.35) with tax.

Where To Buy A Disney World Annual Pass

You cannot buy a Disney World Annual Pass anywhere in the UK, you have to buy it in the US. Some people will recommend using a VPN, but this is not something we would suggest you do on such a large purchase.

Heading to Disney Springs Guest Services is an easy and quick way to get your Annual Pass without having to go to the parks, it also means that you can pick them up before a day in the parks, removing any hassle. It’s easy to do and the Cast Members are incredibly helpful.

Can You Upgrade A Magic Ticket To An Annual Pass?

You cannot upgrade a UK Magic Ticket to a Disney annual pass, so if you are planning on buying an Annual Pass on your trip do not buy a Magic Ticket as well.

Reservations System: A Downside To Annual Passes

UK residents need to keep in mind that even though the Incredi-Pass has no blackout dates, meaning you can visit any day, Annual Pass holders are still required to make reservations to enter the parks in 2026.

Incredi-Pass holders are limited to having only 5 reservations at any one time, and dates can reach capacity which means you can’t enter the park. This is happens around Christmas and Thanksgiving, so if you plan to visit during busy periods, you need to make reservations in advance, ideally when dates are released.

For a trip to Disney World from the UK you will usually want to visit for more than 5 days, so the reservation system is a limitation, as you can only guarantee 5 days in the Disney parks during your visit in comparison to 14 with a 14-Day Magic Ticket.

Annual Pass holders do not need reservations on ‘Good To Go’ days, which are released in advance, and you can also enter the parks after 2pm without a reservation, unless you head to Magic Kingdom on a Saturday and Sunday where you would need a reservation no matter what time you enter.

Park Hopping With Annual Passes

Park hopping is included with Disney’s Incredi-Pass, and there is no time restriction on when you can park hop. This means you can use the same park hopping strategy as you would with a 14-Day Magic Ticket, which you can explore in Park Hopping At Disney World: Why A Park Hopping Strategy Maximises Your Day.

The only restriction the you have when park hopping with an Annual Pass, is that you need to check-in to the park you have a reservation for first, before moving to another park. On “Good To Go Days”, or if you start after 2pm on a week day you don’t need to start at a park with a reservation first as reservations are not needed to enter.

Verdict: Is A Disney World Annual Pass Worth It for UK Residents?

For most UK visitors heading to Walt Disney World buying an annual pass is simply not worth the cost. The 14-Day Magic Ticket has better benefits, is a more affordable option, and provides the right amount of park access for a once-a-year, or once-in-a-lifetime holiday. However, for anyone who is fortunate enough to be planning multiple Walt Disney World trips from the UK in a year, an annual pass offers discounts you don’t get with the Magic Ticket.

In our opinion you only need to be planning 2, 2 week trips to Disney World where you intend to hire a car for the Annual Pass to be worth the investment. The added savings on dining experiences, merchandise, and morning coffees and snacks in the park is an added bonus.

The flexibility of the Magic Ticket cannot currently be beaten by the Annual Pass in 2026 for a UK visitor. The reservations system is particularly restrictive as it means you have no guarantees of getting park access with the annual pass beyond your 5 reservations during your trip. And reservations book up when released for dates around Christmas. Whereas a Magic Ticket gives you that guarantee and a whole host of other benefits to enjoy during your holiday.

The annual pass is worth it if you plan on being in Disney World for 2, 2 week trips, in a calendar year, otherwise, the Magic Ticket is the best option.
